Police, schools, and fire collaboration
The Ottawa Area Secure Schools Network, a joint initiative involving schools, law enforcement, and emergency responders within the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District, aims to enhance and uphold school safety.
Over 85 representatives from various educational institutions, law enforcement agencies, and fire departments convened at a summit on September 27. Their goal was to initiate discussions about regional collaboration.
The summit included key note speakers and participants also formed cross-sector groups to address effective practices and areas of concern in school safety.
