As the nature of safety and security concerns in schools evolve, it is increasingly important to take a holistic view of how they intersect with other mental health and behavioral matters. Simply, there is a symbiotic relationship between these areas.

The focus of the OASSN 2021 Spring Summit is to begin to delve into this intersection and to examine how we might approach this from a broader, more inclusive framework.  Specifically the Summit will start this exploration by focusing on Suicide Prevention and Response Planning.  Participants will be trained on a regionally developed tool kit and have a hands-on exercise using this information.
